Five other Otewa Students and I have been working with Glen from Mad Cow Drums since term one of this year. We used coloured bands on our arms and leg to learn how to follow drumming patterns. We learnt beats first, then some fills. We look forward to Glen coming every Monday to work with us. Today we showed the rest of the school how far we have come. I would like to keep learning the drums because it’s fun.

Hi Kane! Our class was watching you guys drumming today. I think you're getting really good at drumming. I think your teacher is the best out of all of you. He must have been drumming for a long time. Is it hard for you to learn the drums? When I was learning to drum with Mako at first I found it hard because it's hard to make your feet and your hands go at the same time. How did you learn to read the beats from the music? I want to get better at drumming by practising. It would be cool to get a whole drum kit set. Keep practising Kane. You are good at drumming.
